Welcome to Plumas-Sierra CattleWomens website. Enjoy browsing our pages and learning about our organization.
Plumas-Sierra CattleWomen covers two counties in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. The Sierra Valley is the highest alpine valley in North America.
Plumas-Sierra CattleWomen (PSCW) is a group of women dedicated to the preservation of ranching, beef promotion and agricultural education. Our purpose is to promote the welfare of the livestock industry and to stimulate the growth of agriculture and allied fields in our two counties. PSCW participates is many events throughout the year.
Through Ag in the Classroom, we promote a better understanding of the cattle industry and its relationship with other agricultural entities. We are very active in Beef Promotion with providing Beef samples, recipes and providing brochures from the California Beef Council.
PSCW makes a hand embroidered brand quilt each year to raise funds for our scholarship program for local students.
Our members are active all year long promoting beef and agriculture and participating in many events throughout both our counties.
Here's a tour around. Enjoy!
